Skoura is a beautiful fertile Oasis, 35 km east of Ouarzazate in the Dades valley, or Valley of a thousand Kasbahs as it is known.

Running along the edges of its two seasonal rivers, its appearance can be deceptive as it runs mainly to the north of the main road, However once you get off the road you discover that Skoura is very large and that what appeared to be just a line of trees is actually a huge and flourishing oasis, perfect for long peaceful and mesmerizing walks.
Your tour will continue onward to the Valley of roses just north of El Kelaa Mgouna where you will get to enjoy some time with the locals and learn more about this fascinating place and how this small region is actually the main producer of Rose water you find all over the Moroccans cities and villages and which is used for other products as well as hand and body soaps, cream, oil, perfumes and dried rose flowers.

Our tour keeps on going to Dades Valley located a little north-east of the southern city of Ouarzazate, and stretching out between the peaks of the High Atlas and the Jbel Sarhro mountain range.

The heart of the valley is a haven of freshness and surprising landscapes inhabited by incredibly welcoming people.

Discover the Dades Gorges in the spring when the valley is brimming with an exceptionally flourishing nature.

Escape amidst gardens of almond, argan, palm, poplar and walnut trees.

There are many Kasbahs in this region; some alive and pretty, others striking in their desolation, adding mystery to the exotic architecture and fascinating structure of society that has been in place here for thousands of years.

You will be spending the night in a local home in the Dades Valley and getting to live a typical desert experience.

Today you will have an amazing journey which will take you through the Todgha Gorges, a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains near the town of Tinerhir well known by the amazing carved out cliff-sided canyons.

Due to its robust rock sides with many jagged surfaces, this place has become very popular among rock climbers.

The todgha Gorge was featured on the premiere of the United States reality show Expedition Impossible.

After leaving the Todgha Gorges we will be heading to Erfoud or the capital of fossils like it is being famous for.

This place could be easily considered as an oasis town in the Sahara Desert, Due to its proximity to Merzouga desert in the Erg Chebbi Dunes.

Lately it has developed tourist related infrastructures such as hotels and restaurants.

It has also become a destination for filmmakers due to the beauty of the surrounding Sahara Desert and the town’s oasis areas.

From Erfoud we will head to Rissani where you will be having a late lunch.

This is considered to be a special treat on its own since you will be living one friendly local experience with the habitants of the region and enjoying with them one of their signature meals which is “El Medfouna” or the Berber Pizza.

Then we expand our visit to the Khamelia village before we get you to the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga where you will get to experience a life time experience which a camel trekking which last about an hour to get you to the camp where you will be spending the night and having dinner over a fire party full of excitement and fun.

Today we recommend you to wake up a bit early so you can catch an amazing sunrise over the dunes of your camp before we head to Merzouga so we can get you ready to your next destination which is Ouarzazat.

Before we get to Ouarzazat we will be making a stop at this place called Ait Ouzzine where you will have another typical desert experience and have lunch with a local family while enjoying a nice tea break.

You will feel like a local nomad traversing the Sahara and getting the chance to hang out with random people throughout this journey.

The locals of that area are extremely friendly and enjoy sharing their time and homes with tourists for a no coast fee.

Ait Ouzzine is a Berber village populated by over 300 families nestled within the Middle Atlas Mountains tucked away along an impressive desert route connecting the Draa Valley (Tansikht) and Rissani.
